Askwith Village Hall Conditions of Letting (Updated September 2022)
The hire charge is £15/hr or £150-day rate
1. The premises and equipment must be left as clean and tidy as found
2. Any unused food or drink must be removed from the refrigerator before vacating the hall.
3. PLEASE REMOVE ALL YOUR RUBBISH (BIN LINERS UNDER THE SINK). OUR RUBBISH IS NO LONGER COLLECTED BY THE COUNCIL IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITY TO DISPOSE OF.
4. The person(s) hiring the hall shall be responsible for the proper use of the premises and will be liable for any damage or theft of the contents of the village hall.
5. The person(s) hiring the hall will ensure that all lights are switched off, windows are secured, and doors closed on vacating the village hall.
6. No decoration(s) should be fixed to the walls without the Letting Secretary’s permission – no cellotape/drawing pins etc allowed.
7. ALL damage(s) caused to the premises and/or ALL breakages must be reported to the Letting Secretary within 24 hours of leaving the village hall if not before.
8. £40.00 deposit (to cover damages; refundable); letting fee required at time of booking.
9. If ALCOHOL is to be sold at the function – a bar licence is REQUIRED BY LAW and prior notice is needed to arrange such licence and inform the Letting Secretary.
10. No balls or ball games are allowed on these premises.
11. The field behind the Village Hall is not owned by the hall please ensure no glass or rubbish is left in the field as children play here.
12. Cancellation of Bookings Please note that 14 days’ notice is required for cancellation of ANY booking. If later than this period, the £40.00 deposit submitted will not be refunded.
Please contact the Letting Secretary regarding cancellations.
13. COVID 19. You must follow all government Covid-19 advice at the time of your booking. If we have to close the hall due to changing Covid-19 advice you will be refunded in full.
The maximum number of persons allowed on these premises is 100.
Please be considerate when parking at the Village Hall so that residents are not blocked in.
ON BOOKING YOU ARE AGREEING TO PERSONALLY ACCEPT THE ABOVE CONDITIONS AS SET OUT FOR HIRING ASKWITH VILLAGE HALL AND CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE.
PLEASE NOTE SET UP CLEARING UP TIME TO BE INCLUDED IN HIRE TIME.
